ERIC Systems' Risk Manager is an integrated suite of program modules designed for the day-to-day administration of worker compensation and liability claims. It is a true 32-bit, multi-state, client-server application designed to maximize performance in high volume environments. It is suitable for use by any size organization that is self-insured and self-administered or third-party administrator (TPA), governmental agency, insurance carrier, association of self-insureds, and/or retrospective rating group.
Risk Manager has been in production use and under continual development since 1982 . This long heritage is reflected in the comprehensive nature of its design and the ease with which it can handle the complex regulatory environments of multiple States agencies and the Federal government.
Ease of use, flexibility in configuration, program security, and reporting are areas where Risk Manager shines brightly. Each employer within an enterprise (a collection of related employers) can be unique in its organizational structure to address most any situation.
System access is controlled by a function oriented security system where access rights are assigned to individual users or security profiles. Viewing of claim information may be limited by enterprise, employer, policy carrier, or even to a single organizational unit within a single organization level of the six (6) levels available for each employer.
With over 350 standard reports and an optional program that gives advanced users the ability to interface their own reports with the Risk Manager print control module, there is virtually no limit to the number and nature of reports than can be made available to clients and users.
Risk Manager is a real-time design meaning that there are no posting routines required at the end of day or month to prepare data for period reporting. Transactions affect financial totals as soon as the entry is saved allowing month end closing to be performed without disrupting daily operations.

Though comprehensive and powerful, Risk Manager remains simple to install and maintain. All data, including correspondence items, image files (pictures and documents), archive copies of ACH and positive pay extract files, and third-party bill review import files are stored in the SQL Server database. There is only one file to backup which makes the potential for data loss extremely low.
Unlike many older claim administration applications, Risk Manager was initially developed for use on personal computers. As a result, its user interface takes advantage of and compliments the user friendly environment associated with desk top computing. Feed back from our clients, always encouraged, has also been a significant source of ideas to optimize procedures for searching and retrieving information. Both the keyboard and mouse are equally supported for navigation and data entry.
Risk Manager was developed using industry standard tools for software development including Microsoft Visual Basic, .NET, SQL Server, and Crystal Reports. Many organizations already use these products reducing out-of-pocket costs and allowing them to leverage their existing skills base. This ensures that Risk Manager can be scaled to meet the needs of any size organization.
Risk Manager as an "off-the-shelf" application for claims administration. When a new acquisition is coupled with conversion of existing data from another source, it is literally a turn-key solution fo update you current claims handling capabilities to state-of-the-art functionality in a very cost effective manner.
All versions of the program have essentially the same set of basic features. Additional capabilities, not of interest or applicable to all users, may be added by purchasing optional modules. Our support policy is in that we offer continuous distribution of updates and enhancements to all users with a current technical support agreement.
